Inspiring leaders in nursing.

Healthcare is evolving to meet the number one burden on our medical system: chronic illness. Managing heart disease, diabetes and obesity requires a network of highly-qualified nurses, not the traditional physician-centered model. Demand for nursing professionals is soaring, while the job market is experiencing a massive shortage and at-capacity nursing schools are struggling keep up.

Who should earn a Master's in Nursing?

An MSN has broad applications, particularly with hospitals actively recruiting highly-educated candidates. The degree can strengthen generalists with high-level clinician skills or provide a vehicle to advance into other popular career options, like midwifing or nurse anesthesiology. Higher positions that don’t involve direct patient involvement, such as nursing administration and nursing research, also require a postgraduate degree, and nurse educators must possess at least a master’s degree. All of these employment options pay a higher wage and offer more growth opportunity than what is available with a 2-year diploma or 4-year degree.
